Depot Manager - Cylinder Division - Penrose

Reporting directly to the National Operations Manager- Cylinder Division, this position will have the following responsibilities:

  • Day to day supervision of the distribution team, liaising with the customers to ensure efficient scheduling of the product in a safe and timely way.

  • Maintenance of full compliance with health and safety, company, customer policies and NZ transport law is required.

  • Arranging all tasks relating to distribution management including truck allocation and driver resource.

  • Maintain and implement Driver rosters and produce run delivery schedules on a daily basis

  • Track equipment service intervals

  • People management, investigate all driver performance issues, sign off weekly payroll,

  • Support annual performance appraisals

We are looking for applicants who have (preferably) worked in Operations Management roles within transport environments previously and are comfortable working with a diverse range of team members who are deadline driven.

This role would suit applicants with the following experience:

  • Experienced in safety focused environments given the businesses responsibility for the distribution of dangerous goods.

  • Experience in implementing digital operational platforms would be an advantage.

  • Having a minimum of five years sound operational management experience and previous truck and trailer licenses would be an advantage.  

  • Strong people management, communication, relationship building and organisational skills.

  • Sound knowledge of windows/office environments are also essential to this role.

Class 5 Drivers — Glenbrook

We have permanent full-time opportunities for professional, experienced drivers looking for secure work with a company that values its team.

This is a diverse and challenging role - as well as driving, you are also required to carry out the specialised loading and delivery of the bulk liquid gas to be transported.

Honesty, reliability and flexibility are paramount and you must be committed to high levels of vehicle care and personal presentation. You must be willing to undertake ongoing theory and practical training and to follow established procedures.

We run a 24/7 operation; the role will include shift work and you will also be required to work some weekends.
