Road Safety Education Limited (RSE) is a not-for-profit organisation which is committed to reducing trauma on our roads through the delivery of industry-leading, evidence-based road safety education programmes.
The award winning RYDA Programme for senior high school students is part of a suite of programs for young people in years 10 to 13 and is the platform for implementation of new and targeted education programs for parents and corporate partners such as Alexander Group.
RYDA is aimed at equipping young people with the knowledge to stay safe on our roads. The programme targets teenagers who are at the stage of their lives where they start to drive or ride in a vehicle driven by their peers.
RYDA is a one day programme, conducted at an out of school venue, chosen to highlight crucial road safety messages. Supporting the graduate licensing schemes, the programme focuses on the key government ‘big five’ road safety issues of speeding, DUI, fatigue, seatbelts and distractions as well as the importance of driving as a social responsibility.
There are no higher priorities for Alexander Group as an organisation, than the health and safety of our employees, customers, suppliers and the broader community. As part of this genuine commitment, we provide our employees with internal safety schemes, which promotes safe driving behaviour 100% of the time.
RSE therefore has great synergies with our own Alexander Group safe driving culture – and this is why we have been keen to support the development of this youth education initiative for young road users. We are most proud to be a Corporate Sponsor of RSE and the RYDA Programme.
